What We Believe
At Twelve Church, our mission is simple: introducing people to the real Jesus.
We believe the Bible is clear, powerful, and relevant for everyday life. While Christians may disagree on some secondary issues, we want to be known for holding firmly to the essential truths of the Christian faith while keeping Jesus at the center of everything.
The Gospel
The Gospel is the good news that God saves sinners through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
God created us to know Him, love Him, and glorify Him. Instead, every person has sinned and fallen short of God's perfect standard. Because God is holy and just, sin separates us from Him and deserves judgment.
But God, in His love and mercy, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to do what we could never do ourselves. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose from the dead three days later.
Salvation is not something we earn through good works, religious activity, morality, or self-improvement. We are saved by God's grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
When a person repents of their sin and trusts in Jesus Christ…God forgives their sins, declares them righteous, adopts them into His family, and gives them eternal life.
We believe that salvation is entirely the work of God from beginning to end and that all glory belongs to Him.
Ephesians 2:8–9
Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God.
The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments were written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and are completely trustworthy in all they communicate. The Bible is God's final authority for what we believe and how we live.

God
We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God is holy, loving, sovereign, all-knowing, all-powerful, and worthy of all worship.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man.
He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again.
Jesus is the only Savior and the only way to God.

Humanity
We believe every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity, value, and worth.
Because of humanity's fall into sin, all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are unable to save themselves.

Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
God graciously calls sinners to Himself, grants repentance and faith, justifies them, adopts them into His family, and keeps them secure in Christ.
Good works do not save us, but they are evidence that God has truly transformed us.

The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers.
The church exists to worship God, make disciples, encourage believers, serve others, and proclaim the Gospel to the world.
Every Christian should actively participate in a local church.

Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality
We believe God created humanity as male and female in His image.
We believe marriage is a covenant relationship established by God between one biological man and one biological woman for life.
We believe sexual intimacy is a gift from God to be enjoyed exclusively within marriage.
We recognize that questions regarding sexuality and gender can be deeply personal and often painful. Therefore, we seek to hold firmly to Biblical truth while extending genuine compassion, dignity, and love to every person.
